From a small workshop in Kettering, Northamptonshire in 1885, Mr Wright originally made peg sole boots for the British Armed Forces. Over a number of years the brand moved into offering more fashionable products, firstly supplying the cavalry officers at Chelsea barracks and then later creating a buzz in the 1960s, becoming a major part of the ‘Carnaby Street’ scene in London.
