Before there was the Swoosh, before there was Nike, there were two visionary men who pioneered a revolution in athletic footwear that redefined the industry. Bill Bowerman was a nationally respected track and field coach at the University of Oregon. Phil Knight was a talented middle-distance runner from Portland, who enrolled at Oregon in the Autumn of 1955 and competed for Bowerman’s track programme. Together they formed Blue Ribbon Sports, later to become Nike. We have a lot to thank them for..........Air Max 1, Air Force 1, Dunk, Air Vengeance, Blazer.......the list of iconic styles goes on and on then on a bit more.
