Gramicci

Gramicci was officially born in 1982 in Ventura, California when Mike Graham, a famous rock climber, designed shorts specifically dedicated to climbing. The shorts were innovative and a hit, with an integral nylon webbing belt that could be adjusted with one hand and a diamond gusset for 180-degree flexibility. The trouser version followed, dubbed the G-Pant, which later became sought-after by skaters and surfers. The name 'Gramicci' came from a joke nickname Mike Graham had taken when taking part in an 'all-Italian' ascent of Yosemite's Half-Dome with his Stonemasters mates, even though none of them were Italian. Since 2017 the brand has been Japanese owned and the Japanese team designs clothing which blends its climbing and outdoors heritage with a contemporary Japanese streetwear aesthetic.
